OK, so I had a chance to call about the seat assignments today.

I rang MH, they asked what I would like to which I said any two together.

Was assigned 1D&F.

I said "what about the other flight" to which the agent replied it's not an MH flight.
Bit of back & forth then eventually it transpired that because it's an MH ticket on an SQ codeshare on MH metal, either I can contact Expedia or SQ and they can put a request in, but MH cannot touch the booking

Bizarre to say the least, but hopefully with there being no good seats we'll be able to negotiate a swap if needs be.

As for the SATS lounge it's a while since I was in there (maybe 5 yrs or so). Must admit it didn't do anything for me at the time, but the SQ J lounge is a bit lacking with as you say no windows. Oh well, we're staying in the Crowne Plaza so should be able to time it right and maybe just grab a (whatever they serve for breakfast in the lounge) before boarding.

Also thanks for the tips re the KLIA lounge. If we're to or from the mail terminal we'll use that lounge otherwise we'll just stay in the satellite. Now have almost 2hrs between flights because of the change...
