Matthew I bet you have registered for the LOT, so you are SOL this year unless COMPUTER *sees* you as with 100K on December 31. IMO.

Me, if it is exactly 1000 or miles or less I'd do a cheapie round trip somewhere and snag the 500 minimum each way on United.

To get 1K and not 1P from a single RT is a no brainer - to me anyway.
Or even if you are not coming over to USA surely a cheapie BD or something ex LHR that accrues 500 actual UA miles each way is pretty doable?
Me, I have a feeling come December 31 the computer will go ballistic and double and tripe count some promos if you registered in all and flew a lot. I except to have 728,382 EQM come December 31, midnight.
