To be very honest, I no longer care what US does with their FF program. Their customer loyalty program has evolved into a customer apathy program. I used to use US exclusively for my business travel, even if the fares were higher and even when connections were required. At the end of the year I would try to squeeze in additional trips to make the next level of status. No more. I will fly them if they are the most convenient/ cheapest, and if they aren't I will fly someone else. The value of Dividend miles has been reduced to the point where they have no power to influence my travel purchases. I get the sense from reading this forum that I am not alone in this.
