I don't see any problem to refit the shell seat on 74B. These four planes have already equipped with AVOD system. In this case, CI only need to fit the new seat to cabin. Besides, this company currently has financial problem. It's not wise to waste time and money to "see what passengers' thoughts." I've written to CI many times about its outdated 747 cabin, and I always receive the answer, "the new C will be 60" pitch with angle lie-flat bed seat."

Correct. It's the same seat as 74B (and A330), so my assumption is that their 33A will probably remove 1 or 2 row from the business cabin just to stretch the legroom. Disappointing, to say the least.
33A will only remove 1 row, and the C class will have 60" pitch (currently only 52"). Once the seat pitch increases to 60", it can be adjusted to an angle lie-flat bed seat. Actually this C seat is identical to Asiana/Air China's buisness class.
