How nice indeed it would be to see more 777's in the GUM area. I had an opportunity to fly on one operating CS 1 (HNL-GUM). Once we arrived GUM, it emptied the pax and cargo and headed non-stop to HKG for whatever maintenance they get there...it was ship 15, the crew was EWR based and it was one experience I'll never forget as I didn't have to fly a l~o~n~g route to experience the newer BF seat and the pure joy of riding a 772.

+1 for GUM-SIN and GUM-SYD...CS flew GUM-SYD non-stop in the mid 90's but that did not last long at all.

+1 for the configuration to be 30J and everything else Y...there simply is no premium market over here to "fill" 48 BF seats...now that for sure would be a non-rev's dream out here. I do think though that 30J is also a lot so it'll be interesting to see the decisions mgmt makes on the config. AND with the military's plans for GUM in both the short and long term, demand for J could possibly increase. I recall though that when CS was still operating the DC-10-30's b/w GUM-HNL that there was ~15%-20% of the J cabin with non-revs (you could tell...everyone knows everyone on GUM) so hopefully that will change. Depending on the days of departure, it's been real difficult for non-revs to get J, especially with the 20 seater cabin.

These really are excited times for GUM overall. I love this website! Many times you know more about the airline, than the employees themselves, but of course it works both ways. :-)
