Did FT just have a crash or issue? -- IE twice erred out on my attempt to post a reply earlier??

A complimentary upgrade has been requested on your behalf.

Do I have to anything more than that upon checking in at a kiosk? I usually check in around 2 hours prior to departure.

Thanks much.
Appears your fare class is fine and the automatic upgrade request is occurring. The problem may be availability, the upgrade is not done a ticketing.

This type of upgrade is similar to an e500 upgrade and will not clear until 72 hours or less prior to flight time. The standard A/C for this YYC-SFO run is an E70 with just 6 first class seats. With just 6 F seats, availability is going to be an issue. 1K/GS will clear first and a seat or two will be held until the Gate for last minute purchases.

(OT, but in E+ on an E70 I always pick 3C or any of the row 3 seats)

When you say half of F is open. Is this at ticketing? based on seats maps? -- seat maps are not an accurate view of availability.
