Bluefire SIM card (as sold in Shopping the World)

These SIM cards look very useful and considering that they also throw in a cheap and cheerful mobile that can be recharged with a supplied adapter or supplied USB cable, I though looked a good investment. I just bought one and it is has a standard UK mobile number (07872), with free incoming calls most places in the world (apart from N America). Can anyone report on reliability and whether they really do work "as described on the tin" ?
