I made a reservation for a flight iad-ord and used 15k miles to upgrade C UD on a 744. It was my dream, blah blah blah. Recently I booked a flight to LHR via IAD and confirmed C UD. Now I want to get my 15k miles back because I dont care about ORD-IAD when I am going transatlanic before that anyway. Can I call UA back and ask to be reseated in E+ The ticket has not been purchased yet.
