There are 2 ways to go here. You can use a network camera that is a camera plus a web server. You connect it to your home router, open a port in the router and then you can view it remotely. They often come with software that will allow you to record to a PC. These start around $100 and go up past $1000. The basic ones aren't weatherproof. There are a few that include IR illumination. You can get ones that tilt, pan and zoom, but the price goes us considerably. These are available in wireless models, but I don't consider them quite as reliable as a wired solution.
If you want several cameras, I think it makes more sense to use traditional security cameras hooked to a DVR that is Web capable. Weatherproof IR cameras are available starting at $60 and up. The DVR records the cameras and also allows Internet access. You can view multiple cameras in a split screen view. 4 channel Internet capable DVR's start at $250.
