Have a meeting at this hotel in mid-January and wonder if there are any older/local/more interesting hotels near this one? I will have meetings there, so I can't be too far away, but often try to find either nicer or more interesting hotels near the large chain ones where the meetings are always booked. Any suggestions? (Stayed on year at the Benson in Portland which was right across the street from the Marriott or Hilton or whatever it was. Was a much nicer, charming and lovely old hotel.)
