You'll need to check with
HNL's recently-patented Up-Check™ system, but I would say that the chances are not good, given, as you say, that it's a hub-hub flight on a widebody. Lots of EXPs and PLTs will be competing for those sticker upgrades. Use miles+copay to increase your chances if you really care about the upgrade.
Does AA distribute the entertainment devices and Bose QC3s on this flight?
Nope. The PEDs and BOSE headphones are available on AFS and IFS only.
Also, does anyone who regularly takes this flight know about the catering and on time performance?
EF lists that flight as having 81% on-time performance, with an average delay of 28 minutes.
Given the departure time and flight length, catering will be a basic domestic lunch service--no hot entrees. Recent choices have included a chicken salad sandwich or turkey wrap. The meal will include mixed warmed nuts to start, a wedge of processed cheese with 3 crackers, and perhaps a small salad integrated into the entree bowl. Dessert should be a baked-on-board cookie. Don't expect too much and then you will be pleasantly surprised.
