I tried calling several times after I received that obviously computer generated response e-mail, but each agent insisted that such a card doesn't exist and that it hasn't been considered any time soon. However, every agent did give me the option was the keychain thing.

Interesting to note that your credit card has the PayPass logo on the backside instead of the front. Maybe it was a originally a test card that they had in stock?


Seriously, being a bean-counter in real life, I don't get Citibank's rationale in their decision of not incorporating more of their credit cards with PayPass. Why would they spend $$$ in making a keychain thing-a-ma-jig which is sent out for free but requires the user to call in to request one? Is it that difficult to incorporate a chip into a credit card? Even Capital One has it! Sheesh.
