I don't think that's right... The FAA allows a max duty day of 16 hours for part 121 operators (air carriers). So, I would expect DAL's max duty day to be somewhere slightly less than the FAA's limit.
Duty time and scheduled flight time are two different things. The FAA limits commercial pilot services to 8 hours per day. That is 8 hours of scheduled flight time. That does not include time spent on the property or "duty" time meaning the time spent waiting between flights and so on.
