Restrict to Y/M/B/T is not a bad idea, but they just raised those fares to enormous amount (LAX-TPE v.v. M fare on Jan 5-14 flights were 1090 yesterday, and now 1342, and 1090 is replaced by their new V fare). I might as well just buy Delta code shared tickets... still 1017 and earns 100% mileage! However, I wanted to upgrade and maybe keep the card... so I don't know.

Maybe I will use up all my miles and start buying L and X fares... then transfer to another airline... it's just ridiculous.
I agree that CI fares are getting ridiculous to the point that certain classes are more expensive or at least equivalent to BR. CI should understand that they are completely ignoring their original market audience and going for the very polarized rich people willing to pay for ridiculous B class fares or southeastern customers/L/X fare customers paying less than half the price of B class customers. I already know some CI frequent fliers switching to other programs because of their abuse on ticket prices/mileage perks. However, apparantly the message hasn't been fully sent across to CI so they are still focused on their short-range (east asian) markets and raising ticket prices to sky-high levels for popular travel dates. Even their C class fares are unreasonable given the aysmal product they offer. I really think upper-tier members should really voice their concerns to the company before CI faces a huge loss in its loyal customers.
