Just a question out of curiousity as a frequent traveler.. what's the longest day scheduled for a crew (putting aside international longhauls with crew rest time)? Are transcons flown as returns (e.g. JFK-LAX, LAX-JFK) on a single day? I recently flew JFK-MEX and I was under the impression that the crew was staying on the plane to fly the return trip (but maybe I was wrong... that's a long trip to do both ways).
