Mr. Cynnamin & I will be staying in Downtown L.A. (across from Standard Hotel) for about 10 days next March. It seems like the area has become more visitor friendly & not so deserted at night.

What are some good restaurants? We're very limited in terms of time and where we can go since I'll be attending World Figure Skating Championship at the Staples Center most nights.

Is it safe to walk around during early mornings and afternoons?
