Does the Conrad have any available award stays?

IME - Conrad location is better than the Hilton in Shinjuku. (Immediate surroundings are bland / sterile but it's walking distance to ginza & pretty convenient for transport). The hotel itself is one of the top five or six in Tokyo.

Kids could stay at the Villa Fontaine Shiodome, which is in the next building. It's a clean, modern, decent business hotel. Rooms from around $100. Twin rooms from around $160.

The foreign chains - esp. Hilton and Starwood - seem to have ended up in some awkward locations in Tokyo. Intercontinental got some convenient properties when it acquired the ANA hotels.

Also interesting that the English language web sites of non-Japanese hotels in Tokyo tend to provide crummy location information. (Maps that are just postage stamp size, and directions for drivers only).
