A family member was able to snag a $500 gift card to a major national retailer early this morning for slightly below face (not to mention the almost $150 cashback that should be coming in about 75 days), at the time of their purchase there were about a half dozen other similar $500 gift cards available to the same retailer and all were priced slightly below face. About 30 minutes later - after the adrenaline rush of getting such a bargain had worn off - they decided to buy some more of those GC's but news must have traveled fast as the other half dozen had already been bought by other lucky buyers.
