I have a nightmare of a trip coming up for Thanksgiving: FRA--> CID (through ORD), CID --> ABQ (through DEN), ABQ --> LAX, LAX --> FRA (through SFO). I booked this sucker for Mr. Coo and I back in May. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving is not on my German calendar (!) and I just assumed it was Nov. 20th without actually checking. Fast forward to today when I realize - YIPES! - it's the 27th. I was on the phone with UAL for 53 minutes today until we found a solution that worked. For *only* $322 I was able to swap the flights to go FRA > LAX > ABQ > CID instead of vice versa. I was very pleased, given my stupidity, at this resolution. So, yay, United. I don't know if it's cuz I'm now 2P, but THANK YOU.
