You entitled to some refund also for the bump.

In regard to the baggage I think airlines assume that you'll have your own insurance to cover the loss so they're not going to pay too much. Also they may assume that you would have padded out your claim a bit in the knowlege that you're not going to get 100%.

If you don't have insurance check your credit card agreement, sometimes there's some sort of insurance included if you used this to buy the tickets.
