I looked for the right spot to get the tail aligned with camera in hand. No problems at all. It was at the Hiroshima airport and just stepped off this ANA 777. The airport is on a leveled hilltop. They even built a ramp at the end of the runway to extend it a hundred feet or so over the cliff.

Then again, I would not try to photograph the Gurkha guards at the Changi airport.
