I've been told the 15% discounts (ie, friends, tennis) apply to the base fare, but in past whenever I've used the $25, $100, $300 travel certs they've taken that amount off the total not the base. So I'm confused. I'm on w/ the website folk now, and they're confused too (oh great).

Also, when using the 15%, if they don't do it the right way, you get the discount but then it shows the new lower fare as your base fare which means that if the rates drop (ie, go from $429 to $400 & the fare class is the same, they don't give you the credit. That's driving me nuts right now on other tickets.
