Shhhh.
I've
heard of some doing exactly this for this exact reason, both in the past and currently.
United does not allow multiple accounts in the same name, so if you want to slip under their radar you have to be a bit creative in how you set it up, and how you use it.
And there can be some challenges/logistics about your elite status on your
second 100,000, and the resultant placement on lists,
possible quality of flights, and some other issues during Account #2's
first year (until Account #2 finally hits 1K itself).
Example: Imagine transferring a Confirmed Region 1 E-Cert from Bill Smith (#1) account to B. Smith (#2) in person at an airport. That
could look like a same-person transfer. But then again it could just be Bill that's transferring it to his brother B/Bruno, who, if anyone bothers to even check, just happens to live in a nearby town.
But other than that...it
could...on the comp upgrade front...
