If you are flying down on a oneworld carrier to Argentina, then...
you can book a oneworld Visit South America pass - http://www.oneworld.com/ow/air-trave...-south-america. I think you have to go through Santiago to get these, but it does reduce the fare substantially. I'm looking into this fare when we go in February.
