When a flight has few elites, and most E+ seats end up going to lucky non-elites who never bothered to (or couldn't get) an advanced seat assigmnet, I am frustrated that I cannot get my family up in E+ (as a 2P).

However, as a lowly 2P, when I get on a moderately-full flight on standby and am seated in E+ with an empty middle seat, it is a wonderful thing.

There must be some way for UA to negotiate these scenarios for their elites (i.e. somehow allow elites to being more than one person up to E+ without taking away from other Premiers).
