Same here. I don't worry about arguing over the meter. Most times, I'll get quoted 20 RM from the Petronas Towers to the Marriott. I offer 10. They'll say there's traffic and I respond that traffic is not bad. They accept.
Am I paying more than the meter? Probably by a couple of RM, but still not as high as they want.
