Please ask your friends that are going there what airport they are flying into, how they are getting to their second destination, and what airport they are flying out of....if you don't mind. If he did that kind of research, he could definitely save me a lot of time.

Dawn, the gentleman and his wife are flying in club (read wide seats) on Air Transat from Montreal to Vienna. They will overnight in the old city and next day will take first class train from Vienna to Prague where they reserved a 4* hotel in Old Town. Then they decided to rent a car (I would advise against that, considering their age and first time there; maybe I am too cautious). They want to go to Karlovy Vary and Marianske Lazne (both in westernmost part of CZ, with mineral springs ^) and then return via Cesky Krumlov to Vienna. What else would you like to know?
