Half a year ago, I stayed at Hilton Vienna Am Stadtpark, 2 nights on reward and as HH Gold was upgraded to executive with lounge access. The lounge is very nice, the staff throughout very helpful. The hotel is in a great location. CAT (City Airport Train) stops almost next door, is very efficient and costs only 9 euro or less if bought online in advance.

Our chief of audit (a gentleman of certain age and his wife, both with slight mobility limitations) is doing VIE & PRG in two weeks. He did lots of research and asked me about PRG and CZ since I was born there and go frequently. He is also taking a first class train to PRG from VIE.

There are many nice hotels in PRG. They have Marriot as well. I could also recommend a very qualified and reliable guide in Prague (a Czech Canadian now back to PRG) for a private tour, PM me if interested.

Bon voyage!

Thank you for your kind words.

I think I have it narrowed down to a week in Vienna and a week in Prague. I'm still figuring out which city will be Hilton and which city will be a Marriott.

Please ask your friends that are going there what airport they are flying into, how they are getting to their second destination, and what airport they are flying out of....if you don't mind. If he did that kind of research, he could definitely save me a lot of time.

Also, we only go private tour guides. My husband doesn't do "tours," and we have learned that unless you go guided, so to speak, you can really lose out and not learn much about the country you visit. That is why we always hire a private tour guide LONG before the trip. For us, is the ONLY way to go. I found a great one in Budapest....lot's of research though....a good one in Rome too.

Anyway, I would love to have the name/contact info of the tour guide. It won't be for a year, but some of the better guides are booked up that far in advance!

Thanks!!
