Uhm - not sure this is where I should post this, but I'm trying to get my big f.. a.. to Bangkok for a party on New Years Eve and I can't find any fares (restricted or not) for less than $2400! (SEA->BKK). Actually I want to go IAD->SEA->BKK (or any other routing from IAD). SEA is my hometown (please don't ask why I want to start in IAD - but I'm sure a few folks here at FT can add it up given how $&@$ frequent travelers lives can be... <g> ). Anyhow - I'm flexible with my departure and return dates - but I find it amazing that I can't find any fares less than $2400 - even SEA->NRT is $1300 - so how come SEA->NRT is $2400+??? I really want UA to be able to use a couple of my (soon to expire) Sweet Spots...

Aargh! (OK - I'm also frustrated because my company recently ditched UA as preferred carrier - and I really, really, really don't want to entertain AA or NW for future travel...)

Any help/suggestions/kind advice?
