somebody that you contact based on their postings on this board. Have the courtesy of following up. Several people contacted me, I told them exactly what the next steps were, etc. and then "crickets. " I realize that many folks are new to looking for a job but this is common courtesy. Even if this may not be the perfect position now it's always a good idea to let somebody know.

If you are interviewed for a position, make sure you are committed to being open for the position. It takes time and money to interview people. If you aren't interested, then state that before the interviews start.
