I'm holding (2) seats using (AA Business Award @ 90,000 mi. on IBERIA MIA/MAD/LON for August 2009
When AA Award inventory shows up - I am hoping to change the 'hold' for a stopover in Madrid for 2 days - then on to London - and still yet 'hold' for AA nventory for return dates from London.
AA agent said Iberia equip will be 346 (I assume that's the 340-600 as discussed in above posts??)
If I understand correctly - Iberia seats on all TransAtlantic flights are what Iberia calls BUSINESS PLUS and will lie flat??
(Of course I will check much closer to date - but for now - should I request Row 6 - Central Aisle ? - or Row 1 - Central Aisla or other ?)
Seat Guru and/or Seat Expert doesn't have any seat maps for Iberia and I can't find on Iberia web site.
I understand from this thread that 340-300 - I should request Row 6 -Central Aisle!
The post by WChiCC about 340-600 is confusing me <If your flight is on the A340-600, the first row is the only one that goes nearly horizontal, since it is the only bulkhead in BusinessPlus on that type of plane.>[/I] B]
So does this mean if on 340-600 ? I should request Row 1 - Central Aisle ?
I appreciate this help as it is important for (2) 'old bodies' to have a comfortable TransAtlantic flight or we won't be able to move once we get there!!
I am still not giving up on getting an American flight to London - but AA inventory is not showing anything at all yet (even First Class) for Milesaver Award - not even w/stopovers - so I thought I'd try for a 2 night stopover in Madrid since we've never been to Madrid!
I will be calling each day for stopover dates - We have to be in London by Aug. 27th
Thanks again for your informed help and any suggestions.........
