Hm. I think the definition of 'a very good seat' is flexible, to say the least.
Whilst some pax may not mind sitting at the rear of the cabin, it's worth noting that those in rows 40 - 45 will be amongst the last off the plane and may have a longer wait at passport control.
Should I have to choose a seat in Y on an AA 777, I'd consider 21 or 22 B / H rather than sit in row 41. YMMV.

IMO you have been given a cr*p seat! Go back and get them to give you a decent one! That side of the cabin is fine but you need to be much further forward.
