I just calculated that 1K will only require 1 (unnecessary) SFO-SIN-SFO and by booking my next (necessary) SFO-SNA trip as SFO-LAX-SNA-LAX-SFO, which I don't mind.
Questions:
1. I suppose you would give me the same advice instead then? I have close friends in SIN to stay with for a weekend.
2. You said HK49s come as an allotment of 2 if you fly 10K in a quarter. What is the accrual schedule for SWUs? For example, what if you fly 20K in one quarter? What if you fly 15K one quarter and only 5K the subsequent quarter? (my summer travel is always low)
3. Do SWUs get allocated the same way as HK49s?
4. How long are SWUs/HK49s usually valid for?
