I'm pretty much in the same boat. I'll be at about 78,000 at the end of the year - maybe a little more if I add a weekend somewhere. I'm trying to decide whether to spend a few hundred on a SIN or LHR run, to get 1K.

Here's my problem: my travel is 100% leisure. I bought a M fare once, and that was pricey for me. All my travel is fare-dependent.

If UA decides to stick with H+ SWUs, I'm out of luck. These will be useless to me. If they decide to revert to the old things (which I have a feeling/hope they will), then I could rationalize outlaying several hundred for top-tier status. Any thoughts?
