No, you won’t get double DL miles or any DL miles after you cancelled the card - I'm in the same situation. By the way, they let you shift the account to Hilton and you'd get 10,000 sign-up points.
I did not even bother to try double miles promo, as it took me six month to get double miles for December promo. And I believe some people are yet to receive triple miles for October.
I fell relieved that I don't have to shake'em for points any more - they have by far the worst record of posting any bonuses, and as their promotions are plentiful, the aggravation is bottomless.
