Just thought i would let you know that i happened to be speaking to my travel agent about another booking when i mentioned how dissapointed i was that i was unable to use the airport lounge at SFO terminal 3 even though i had a first class ticket with UA. He phoned a united airways contact at SFO who said that if i had a first class ticket on the SFO-HNL route then i would be able to use their lounge facilities. I will let you all know how i get on! BA flights come in to SFO in A gates at the international terminal. DL and CO lounge are at T1, but they are both landside, which means before security, in my opinion, both lounges are quite pathethic.
CO lounge is really small, often really packed, no windows. DL lounge is bigger as it is upstairs from the departure level, but really limited of snacks. Not sure how much do they charge for a one time pass, but I wouldn't want to pay more than $20 for that.
UA and AA lounge both charge $50 to get in, they are both inside security. AA lounge is far away from the UA gates. All four lounges do NOT have showers.
