Well I know there has been some moaning on the UA boards about the new *A Lounge at LHR, but I thought it was fine for my early September 1-1.5 pre-departure time LHR-DEN. For my tastes, there were plenty of food selections (refreshed frequently), it wasn't too crowded, comfortable seats, etc. The downside was lack of natural light / views of the runway.

An FYI for arriving passengers, the connection / transfer desks were still under construction when I was there, but I found the signage to be clear. Showers in the lounge are available for *G customers connecting to other T-1 airlines only.

I understand LH's move to T-1 from T-2 has been delayed due to BA's T-5 operations not yet at 100% capacity / fully intergrated. The check-in area is also still undergoing construction / re-shuffiling airlines to different zones within T-1.
