I'm about to fly my second PHL-LHR flight. The first was in April, and I was having a rummage in Google to see if I'd missed any other Star Alliance lounges when I last flew.
Surprise surprise - a new Star Alliance lounge opened at LHR Terminal 1 on July 4th 2008, hooray! It's not airline specific, it's a Star Alliance joint effort. It sounds nice, read a review

Now, my Google search found this information on many Star Alliance carrier's websites. US Airways? You gotta be kidding, not a word. I looked through the US site to see if I'd missed it and didn't find a thing. I looked at the US page of
airport website links , and was disgusted to find no international airports listed. None. At all. The common criticism that US is run with a regional carrier mentality rears its ugly head yet again. You would think years after the merger this sort of thing would be well in hand.
I had fully intended this post to be a yippee, good news post. Sorry folks.
Has anyone been to this lounge, if so, what did you think?
And to any US lurkers, wake up boys and girls and get this on the website. As Martha Stewart would say, "it's a good thing", publicize it! And while you're at it, lets support the international customers with a bit more information.
