Rented a Ford Edge yesterday and returned it 23 hours later. The guy checked the car for damage and entered the mileage. He then noted that it was less than 75 miles and asked me if I filled up. I showed him the COSTCO receipt and told him I had the receipt and was returning the car by the letter of the agreement (and that I only got it for the miles. He smiled).
The receipt that he handed me and the emailed receipt they just sent, both show 8050 miles earned.
The car was 49.39 plus all the other fees and taxes and so on, brought the final total to $60.48 plus another $10 in gas I think.
The vehicle got 20 mpg on my trip but current average was 30mpg over its total usage and had lots of get up and go. It reminded me of past Camaros :-)
