Another lack of "service" by employees that almost lost their job and a CAPTAIN that doesn't control his crew and lack of follow-up by UA.

I believe that FAA regs state that ALL items are to be stowed in the overhead bins or under the seats..FAs make this announcement and should know better.

Since this is a violation of safety regulations you should report it to UA with a copy to the FAA..I would send the UA copy to the Chairman of the Board..complaining to customer service solves nothing.
