I wouldn't go by the Brunch/Snack listing. That's a well-known SABRE res system glitch which has been around for YEARS (at least 25). I would go by the timing of the flight or call AA and ask.
I did call AA (I was trying to pre-book vegetarian meals). They were very nice but had no more information than what was on the booking page (even after checking with a supervisor).
It's really not a big deal, I just was curious what actual flyers in J get on this type of flight. I still think calling it Brunch/Snack on a mid afternoon flight is weird. But heck, I'm used to sitting in coach and not even getting a tiny bag of pretzels any more. If by finally making my Platinum challenge I can now at least get warm nuts I'm happy
