The widebodies fly hub-hub for the same reasons that CO's do: they are positioning for hub-overseas or hub-intercontinental. CO's 767's do something like IAH-S. America-IAH-EWR-Europe, and the 772's do route packages like EWR-NRT-IAH-Europe.
DL is also the largest operator of the 767 family. IIRC they have 103 of them.
How many of DL's 767's are domestic only , aren't the cabins different up front ?
