Over Labor Day I flew Lufthansa BUD-FRA-IAD on a 1K on a Star Alliance award. What a terrible airline!
2) I was kicked out of my exit row seats on the FRA-IAD leg. Seems LH double-slotted this seat. And the short German woman who complained to the FA that I had "stolen" her seat (I boarded first), resulting in me being shoehorned into one of those claustrophobic seats I describe in Section 1, above! (I argued, to no avail.)

My strategy for duplicate seating situations is simple-I just stay in my seat. They can argue, cajole, beg, do anything they want. But the only time I stand up is either when they give me an upgrade (which has happened) or when I am facing a sky marshall (which has never happened).
You were in the seat first-why did you get up?
