There is a delay of 7-10 days between when the website shows your status and when the reservations system is updated to reflect the new status. However, AF and KL employees can look up your status in their system in a different way that will show your correct status. Unfortunately, your BP will still read your old status no matter if it is removed and re-entered. It's just a matter of time. I went from Ivory to Silver to Gold to Platinum this year and every step up took 7-10 days each time for the reservations system to update. I even had the number taken out and put back in several times with no positive results. If you happen to fly through AMS, you can stop at the FB desk inside the lounge and they will give you a temporary Gold card that will get you access to lounges, etc..
