1. Marriott Amsterdam
2. Renaissance Chancery Court (London)
3. Marriott Bristol Royal (UK)
4. Marriott Portsmouth (UK)
5. Marriott cap d'Ail (Monaco)
6. Marriott CDG

I'll let you know.

More in line with your specific questions, the following is not from personal experience but from a lot of reading other FT'ers reports:

1. Marriott Budapest - great lounge, great views
2. Marriott Champs Elysees, Le Parc Trocadero, Ranaissance Vendome (all Paris) - fantastic hotels, but no lounges.
3. Marriott Rive Gauche (Paris) - good hotel, great lounge, good location.
4. Marriott La Defense (Paris) - good hotel, good lounge, not too good of a location.
5. Courtyard Neuilly (Paris) - OK hotel, out-of-the-way location - unsure about the lounge. As a tourist, probably your last choice in Paris.
6. Marriott County Hall London - great hotel, good lounge, fantastic (tourist) location.
7. Renaissance Chancerey Court (London) - great hotel, great lounge, great location.
8. Marriotts in Vienna and Prague all get very high reviews here.

There are a lot more Marriotts in Europe than Hilton (at least in places I'm interested in), and there are a ton of them in UK where Hilton seems to fall down.

I know you're still clinging wistfully to Hilton (as am I, apparently ), but it's time to let go! Join us on the Dark Side! Marriott is blowing Hilton completely out of the water with their promotions, and there are simply oodles of great places to spend them points. Especially in the places where you (and I) like to spend them.

Truth be told, I simply am not ready to leave Hilton because, in my experience, even though I have heard otherwise, I earn soooooo many more points than I do with Marriott.

Also, I have never once been turned down for an award with Hilton...even in peak times. I have read that obtaining an award w/Marriott might not be so easy. I still don't understand how it works yet....I pulled up Marriott in Prague and it said I needed 200k points. I know I'm not doing something right but I will get more serious when I actually have the points in the bank.

Also, I will never be able to acheive Plat w/Marriott and I can maintain Diamond w/Hilton.

I should have listed the places we've been on this post as I did on the Hilton side.....we've been to Amsterdam, Budapest, Ireland, London, Sorrento, and Rome. Also, I think there is a lot more traffic on the Hilton side....could be a premature observation though. I guess you are always slightly less comfortable when you are learning the ins/outs of a new program. I have so much to learn with Marriott. I did get their Premier Visa though....

For business though, there are TONS more properties in the Hilton family than there are Marriotts (California). But it is nice to see that they have (at least someone posted that they did) have a lot more properties in Europe than the Hilton.

I know the resort properties don't give golds breakfast or lounge access...I wonder if that is JWs also? So much to learn...

Thank you for your post.
