An Air Canada Airbus A319-100, registration C-FYJH performing flight AC949 from Point a Pitre (Guadeloupe) to Montreal,QC (Canada), was ready for takeoff awaiting clearance to takeoff, when the crew received an ECAM Forward Cargo Smoke warning. The fire services were called out, but no heat or smoke was found. The airplane returned to the gate and the cargo unloaded.
There was also a similar one on a YUL-YYZ flight, AC437, A320, on Sept 19. First report mentions smoke in the cockpit. However it appears that smoke detectors tripped in the aft hold and fire extinguishers were discharged. Landed back at YUL but no sign of fire was found.
