I'll just have to be the one to disagree.

I don't like 1AC on a A320, I feel I can't streatch out my legs, in the way I can in Row 2.

Also, row 1 has the fold out tray tables in the armrest and I found they're often not quite horizontal, but sometimes slope this way or that.

The downside of rows 2+ is that you may get somebody reclining their seat in to you.

In CE, I usually do 2C on a A319/320/321 and 2D on a B767SH.
