Or the airlines you have chosen. Or then Star Alliance service is just going lower and lower.

I have experienced quite nice priority tag service but usually not from SAS, Asian airlines are much more consistent with that and even LH compared to SAS.

One thing to note, it of course requires that the destination airport is a bigger Star Alliance airport where they are taking care of the ground operations by themselves. It doesn't work so well in the airports where they have subcontracted that from some local (sometimes competitor) handling company.
