Okay, boffins. Get your thinking caps on, because this has the potential for serious mileage-running, especially with the very cheap fares running right now.

Since only the trans-atlantic legs earn the bonus, who can tell me what the longest USA-Europe segment is? Will a direct flight count (in which case, LHR-HNL has potential) or is it limited to non-stops?

The LHR-HNL will count I'd imagine (since direct flights post as the full distanct [in this case LHR-HNL 7xxx]).

However; HNL is quite pricy ex-Europe (Compared to LAX or SFO).

The best bet will probably to get a Travel Agency V fare to SFO or LAX and book on a one-stop service to ensure you get E+. That should maximise comfort, and minimise CPM ex-LHR.

LHR-SFO runs to £286 inc taxes in V class (Sat/Sun turn) through Unijet.

Alex
