Hauser33: i've been following this thread and I say keep up the updates!
I don't know if Cheap Elite works for *W PR, although I doubt it, but he/she certainly seems to have an axe to grind (other might say a consistent perspective). Here are Cheap Elite's greatest hits on this thread (I hope I got the shade of green correct):
Are you for real? We don't know all the facts, only the posters side of the story. I'm all for getting to the bottom of things, but we first must know all the facts, it might not be as cut and dry as the OP has made this.
Lastly, there are many good properties out there, so to say "steer clear" of starwood is a bum wrap and possibly giving your friends bad advice.
Instead of giving them "steer clear" advice, advise them to make backup plans if they are using this program. Then once the verdict is in on this case, they can decide for themselves.
Hopefully the OP has contacted one of the lurkers and we're able to hear BOTH sides of this story and have some closure.
At the moment, I disagree that this is a "SPG" problem and not a "hotel" specific problem as we are only hearing ONE side of this story.
Why don't we let the investigation take place, before we start to scream for compensation.
Don't put words in my mouth or make assumptions.
What i've said in the past and will say again, is wait until there is a full investigation before getting all out of hand.
None of us know ALL the facts.
That's it! Period!
This is FT...a novela happens every 8 to 10 days or so. T-8 and counting!
oh for cryin' out loud. This thread has outlived its usefulness. Lock it now I say!
